Be ProActive, Use Your Personal Power

once again. Adding these old acquaintances to your roster of support peers will certainly make you feel great all over.

Are you crabby, grouchy and generally dark Stop, you can't go through life that way. Eliminate the bad traits and habits that constantly cramp your growth. And truly, who wants a crabby friend anyhow

When angry, don't snap at anybody. Never throw a conniption. Stay calm and collected. Be adult enough to take charge of situation and transform your angriness into something richer and passive.

Your relationship with your loved ones, friends and associates is too precious so you must not neglect it whatever happens. Go out and have fun with them. Do things together.

Ultimately, utilizing individuals for self-empowerment means becoming a better and more lovable individual. It's a win-win situation the individuals know they may turn to you anytime and vice versa.

I hope this post starts the "thought process" for your own success!

  • This, if anything, gets you thinking, of what and how you are working online – if you’re working online? Don’t just sit there. Do something. Do anything creative, that get’s your juices going! Mark’s got it! He’s got the plates in the right places! This is what i like. Get’s me thinking even more… Thanks, Mark. You’re a cliff!

  • Thank you Mark,

This is really inspiring and should remind us to be thankful for all the good people in our lives, keep our feet on the ground and appreciate every moment of our lives with those we love.

    Make it a great day!

  • With a health history that means that I’ve probably no chance of getting a job again, not a good situation to be in at the grand old age of 41. I have to be proactive, I have to believe in myself, and that one day I will be able to create my own future. I might not always achieve a lot, there’s a lot that I don’t understand, but so long as I keep pushing myself forward then I can keep myself out of the hands of the shrinks πŸ˜‰

P.S It was a pity that Phil and Bill couldn’t make it to the Super Saturday…LOL

  • Wise words of wisdom and funny how life experiences can turn people from being a socially empowered confidantes to socially disempowered people. And yet by the same process people can bounce back to be shiney, happy people once again. All it takes is a little courage and a decision to step outside the comfort zone and learn from your mistakes. A great book that has and is assisting me is Awaken the giant within by Anthony Robbins. Having just wrote this, I had better read it again, thanks for the memory jogger Mark.

  • Mark

    Right on, Deb!

it’s the lil’ ones that COUNT!

    Love ya!

  • Great advice Mark! We all want to feel validated, and you are so right, the simplest act of sincerity, whether it be a smile, a hug, a shoulder to cry on or listening, really listening, to someone else has such a profound impact on others, and often we don’t realize just how much of an effect we have on others. And in return? It comes back to you tenfold!

Welcome back, you’ve been missed πŸ™‚

    Awesome story Lawrey ….

One big thing I read here is to ALWAYS have a mentor too!

Thanks so much for a GREAT post.

  • Mark

    Well …. Kimmie,

WHO could EVER be crabby around you?
    I know I couldn’t!

    – M πŸ˜€

  • For a time when folks spoke about the importance of having a ‘mentor’ I felt guilty about being independant minded because I thought there was romance and power in being the lone wolf. On reflection though I remembered Bill Adkins (a holder of the Order of Canada for long service to the Ottawa theatre community) when at age 87 he was the Stage Manager in the Ottawa Little Theatre and I was employed as his assistant at age 23. I asked Bill what was the most important thing in life? He took me aside at lunch and said since I asked the question seriously he would answer it seriously, his response: “The most important thing in life is to keep your sense of humour.” Another of his quips that stuck with me after working with him a few years: “I know you know better, why don’t you do better?” Only in hind sight did I come to appreciate how I had been mentored well despite my romantic notion about the power of being a lone wolf.

  • Great information Mark. It’s so true if someone gives a compliment it needs to be sincere. People can tell if it’s coming from the heart or if you’re saying something just to get something back.

And I would definitely rather hang around bright happy people rather than crabby mean ones! πŸ™‚
