Wow, what a year 2009 has been.

I head out tomorrow at 7 am with the whole family for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida! We will be spending the Holiday there along with my brother and his family and my parents.

You see, this is the 5 year anniversary of my Mom being “Cancer Free” and this was on her list of to do’s …. Spend Christmas with her whole family in Disney World! Guess What…. She asked for it and boy watch out WDW, the Call’s are on there way!

It’s hard to believe in 2002 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer…. Fought hard for two years, AND, beat the crap out of it!

This year has been a whirl wind.

I need to thank my beautiful wife, Dina, for always supporting me and putting up with the long hours behind the computer, traveling and webcasts that I do “too much” off….

Without her, I would be nothing!  “I Love You Babe!”

We can’t forget my best friend and business partner, Mr. Ken Hammond (“The Marketing Maverick”). This guy is the one who kept me pushing forward, didn’t let me quit and made it FUN, even when it was getting old….. “Thank’s Ken!

Let’s not forget Joel Therien, what can I say…. “Joel, You are Da’ Man!” 

AND … Mikey P! Seems we think too much alike and are on the phone after midnight way too much!

Joel and Mikey believed in Ken and I, and bring out the BEST in us to HELP others!

I can’t leave out all my peers at “The Academy”

Call To Action for 11/21/2009 You ARE Who YOU Associate With!                                                                       - by Mark Call The following few minutes could change your life forever because at the end of this article, you will know exactly how the people you associate yourself with can determine how much money you make. To start, think of the five people that you most commonly associate yourself with and add up their incomes. Then, take the number that you come up with and divide it by five and you will roughly come up with your own income. While this might not be an exact science, it is very accurate, especially since it does not take geography or anything like that into account. What this means, however, is that your success is determined by the people that you spend the most time with, which gives you an easy way to make more money year after year. Now, this does not mean that you have to completely ditch all of your friends and starting hanging out with new people. If you usually hang out with your family, this does not mean that you have to forget about how close you are with your family and find new friends. What you should do, however, is associate yourself with more successful people because this will give you the drive that you need to succeed yourself. This works every time because we are driven by those around us in life and we can quickly get complacent when the people around us similar to us. The reason for this is that we do not feel the need to improve ourselves if we feel comfortable about our income level. Of course, if everyone around us is making the same amount of money, there is no reason to feel uncomfortable about how much money the amount of money we are making, since we are not outcast from the group. Income level is also very conducive to the lifestyle that a person lives and if everyone else that is around is living the same lifestyle, that lifestyle becomes very comfortable and there is little reason to improve it. Compare this to a football player who wants to play in the NFL, but is constantly training with a baseball team. He might be comfortable with the baseball team and the other members of the team might be that person’s best friends, but practicing with a baseball team will not make him a better football player. The same can be said for an individual’s career, as you will not improve your career standing if you hang out with people who are not worried about improving themselves. You must be around people who are successful because they will motivate you to make yourself better. The good news is that this will not be that significant of a change in your life, as long as you handle things the right way. You do not have to move to a major city and surround yourself with some of the most knowledgeable people in the business world because, let’s face it, they wouldn’t want to hang out with you anyway. They are very busy and very important people who have better things to do than hang out with someone who wants to improve him or her self. If it was that easy, everyone would be best friends with the richest people in the world and in this scenario, the dynamics of this formula would certainly have to change. What you can do, however, is make your local support group more diverse by getting to know successful people in your own area. This can be done by taking a job at a local corporation or simply mingling with people everywhere you go. Another great method is to join an MLM company, this sounds funny, but it works! You are bound to time people who are more successful than most if you are constantly meeting people and over time, you will find that your income will increase as well. This entire formula is a direct result of peer pressure, as no one wants to be the one that stands out in a group. If you are the most successful person in a group, you will be expected to pick up the check and do other things that you do not want to do. Likewise, if you are the least successful person in a group, you will not be able to afford to go out for nice dinners or stay at nice hotels on trips. You have probably noticed that Hollywood actors hang out with other actors, doctors hang out with other doctors, and CEOs hang out with other CEOs and the reason for that is that they are just as successful as one another. If you were looking for your dream girl, you would not hang out at a construction site and, likewise, you cannot reach your goals if you are with people who do not have similar aspirations. You do not have to completely rid yourself of these influences in your life, since they are your friends and youdefinitely care about them. What you do have to do is expand your network and make new friends who have similar goals or, better yet, have already achieved these goals. If you can accomplish this, you will find yourself more motivated than ever before you succeed financially and once you have this motivation, there is nothing that can hold you can from reaching your end goal. Your success is within your reach now that you know about the five divided by fives equals success formula, so go out there and make it happen for yourself. I am here to tell you that so many doors have opened in my life because I “live” by this! It truly does work …….. every time! Change your association, change your life, your situation, your income! Online Video to Build YOU as a Brand!

 

If you’re not using video on your website, how are people really going to get to know you?  And if they don’t know you, how are they going to decide they like you?  And if they don’t know or like you, why on earth would they trust you, let alone go into business with you, purchase a product or service from you, or come to you for advice or consulting?  They wouldn’t!

Let’s face it, we like to have a voice and a face to go with the words when we meet someone or contemplate doing business with them.  In a society where anyone can pop up a website and pretend to be someone they’re not, why should we trust anyone without seeing, hearing, and feeling the message directly from them-and getting a chance to assess the messenger with our very own eyes and ears?  The fact is, we don’t!

Doing business with someone you’ve never actually seen is like going out on a blind date:  SCARY!  And just looking at a photo isn’t really all that much better.  You never can be sure if the photo is one that just came with the wallet or if it is the person’s great looking best friend or if the photo is 20 years old!  So it’s nice to see who you’ll be working with in real time-in the here and now!

Video is ideal for this.  You can get up in front of your potential clients or associates and be seen.  They can check out your body language and grooming habits.  They can hear you speak and assess your likability quotient.  They can hear you speak.  They can tell in a very short time whether you know what you’re talking about and are a bona fide expert in your area or whether you are just blowing smoke.  They can also assess your believability and sincerity-two key ingredients that factor into that all-important trust factor.

Twelve-year-olds are making amateur videos these days and showcasing them on YouTube, facebook, and other online venues.  And actually, many of those videos look a lot better than some of the professionally produced videos you can find on some sites.  While I realize twelve-year-olds and kids in general are a lot more technologically savvy than any of us ever were at that age, the fact remains:  if a twelve-year-old can do it, then why the heck aren’t you?

It’s not as complicated as many people like to imagine it is.  Just because you don’t know how to do it-YET-doesn’t mean you can’t learn quickly and easily.  Did you know with an easy to use software program, you can create and upload a simple video to your website online-complete with creating a great lead-in page from a customizable template-in less than 20 minutes?  I’ve spent more time than that looking for my car keys!

So if video is easy to create and upload and it can help absolute strangers come to know, like, and trust you-and if all of these things can directly impact the success of your online business-what on earth are you waiting for?

Most of us mean well.  We jot down notes.  We think about how great a video we could create.  We imagine it in our minds and start thinking through what we might say.  But that’s where it ends.  Actually, that’s the real reason most businesses don’t succeed.  People think about things and don’t actually DO them.  Doing is the key to success.  Action is the key to income.  Procrastination is nothing.  Thinking about things doesn’t get them done.  Only doing produces real results.

So if you read these business tips and you understand them and you buy into them, you have a great potential here to make your business successful.  But if all you ever do is read about them and think about them and you don’t actually do anything, your business will never get off the ground at all.  But if you are one of the very few people who will listen, absorb, and then put this information and advice into practice, you can be one of the industry leaders who succeed and achieve great things in their online business.

So what’s it going to be for you?  The same-old, same-old?  Or online business success utilizing the power of video and easy to use technology?  Only you can decide-and do it!  But hey, if you don’t decide to do this, I’d like to set you up on a couple of blind dates.  And believe me when I say, they all have a GREAT personality!
