I have been following you more closely here within the last 2 months and you truly do inspire me to be better at what I am trying to accomplish in the Network Marketing arena and in life in general. I feel bad when the time comes for me to turn off the computer and lay down for the night, makes me feel like I am going to miss something great. I appreciate the opportunity to network with you and hopefully more closely. Say…….is under your wing too close?…..lol ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Hey Mark,

Great job as always. I have coached youth hockey for over 20 years and use these concepts every minute that we are on the ice. Since my favorite group is 9-10 year olds, “WHY” is a very important part of their vocabulary and they always keep me on my toes. Thanks for sharing……..keep it coming !!

  • Mark

    Jeno,

    Thank you my friend!

I have been caught up in the “Me, Me” too, buddy .. Sometimes it’s hard not too.

Once we get outa that … it’s Game Over!

Great point here and thanks so much for commenting, buddy!

    – M ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Mark

    Reg,

Great point and “Ken” above kinda addresses it ..

Let’s Get Out Of OUR Own Way!

    Great comment, my friend.

    – M ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Mark

    Ken,

I still find myself “Getting In My Own Way” …

It is a hard habit to break.

We just need to try on the others shoes for a moment.

    – M ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Mark

    Kimmie ….

It is always the “WHY” for the others and not ourselves..

YOU get it and it is in every aspect of our lives!

    – M ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Mark

    Lawrey,

    Let the Elephant Loose!

Man this comment should be a post by itself! It is awesome bud and i appreciate you helping put this in prospective….

    – M ๐Ÿ˜€

  • My youngest son has taught me a lot about this concept! From the time he was a very small child he always asked “why”. He has taught me how to present my ideas in a manner that encourages action.

It takes a little time to stop and see things through the other person’s eyes. But when you do the outcome is, Ohhhh so much better!

You are an awesome mentor Mark! Thanks for all you do!

    Kim

  • Mark you present some great food for
thought in your post. Marketing should
come so easy. We get in our own way.
We make things more difficult then the
    need to be.
Thank you for this eye opener.
    Success my friend,
    Ken Pringle

  • Hi Mark,
Your post raises some questions like eg. If people are using marketing all the time why is it that they find it so difficult to apply those skills to make a profit for themselves instead of make profit for someone else?
    Reg

  • Well Done Mark,

I recently attended a Special Seminar hosted by Top Professional.

He immedietly went into a Long 35 minute oration about How Good he was. How much he has earned, all of the Toys, His Romantic Success’s, His Sports Abilities, All the People in the World that paid him a Compliment. Just Too Much Information…

I never walked out of a Seminar in my Life, But I did this One ( I was not alone).

Here was a great example of A PRO, who Should have read Your Blog…. Just because they Consider them Self to Be a Top Successful Professional, does not mean He knew the The Right things to do to Capture His Audience, and Win their Acceptance.

    Well done Mark,

  • Now There Is An Elephant In Your Tool Shed.

Your consideration of the evolving concept of “marketing” is thought provoking. Though we might all have engaged in the process we are not all specialists. Perhaps your identification of a well researched and clear “vision of advantages” is key.

It seems you suggest that “pitching an idea to your better half,” is like an elemental example of the “marketing process.” Then the presenting of a business proposition, the “how come?” the “what’s in it for me?” being addressed, as supportive players are enlisted, the victory of delivering the “difference” can follow.

There seems a bit of a rough edge to be dealt with as the internet flaunts a new dimension with this logic. The sole proprietor once had a tool shed to go to for solutions. The information resource the internet opens to every marketer begs for a good harness for the elephant sized power available to the internet savvy home worker.

That harness must be custom fit to the individual and I am convinced a new era of teamwork is the only answer. I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon the GoGVO Academy as I have begun to re-evaluate the “network marketing” terminology. Better not to look down on internet marketers in case when we look in the mirror we find we “are one.”

Thank you Mark, for pointing out where that elephant has been nesting in the tool shed, and linking me with those who can help me tame it.

  • I’ve been reading about this in How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

I also learned from Ned Rae a couple of years ago per his comment above.

Thank you Mark for your willingness and experience as a marketer.

  • Mark

    Danielle,

It is amazing how much we can learn from this industry called internet marketing.

    YOU are now the TRAINER!

Thank you for the kind words….

    – M ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Mark

    Ned ….

    Great words of WISDOM!

One of the best books anyone can ever read is –
“Questions are the Answers” by Alan Pease ….

Looks like YOU read it too…

    Love ya buddy!

    – M ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Great post Mark! Learning the art of marketing has been mostly accomplished by being an internet marketer. I took classes in my Business degree from Washington State University but I learn more from GVO Academy and reading other marketers blogs.

It is a real skill to be able to take someone with no online experience and train them to make a living online from home. I have set up step by step instructions on how to get started on my site. All a new person needs is a desire and GVO will do the rest!

  • Great article Mark….the how come factor is your competitive advantage..being able to tie into the “why” is the deal maker…if you have the “how come” solution with the common sense “why” it is a win win for all. We have been marketing for years all of us, we just didn’t know it..movies, restaurants, relationships etc..again Mark ..great article
